LEAVING ON A JET PLANE
By William Ippolito
The Captain's airline career is the story of the remarkable period in the 20th century we call "The Jet Age", one filled with adventure, tragedy, humor, good fortune and bad passengers.
"The new non-fiction book written by retired Captain William Ippolito of Dallas - I've just finished it and it's a great read. I predict you won't want to put it down you get so involved with it. You might even find your name mentioned in it."
-Captain Dave Roberts
"I started reading it and couldn't put it down until it was finished."
-Pat Malone, Ground School Instructor
I've purchased a property in Italy (Umbria) which is a self-catering weekly rental. Delta discounts would apply. www.LeVigne.net
Melvin L. Shettle, Jr. first became fascinated with the numerous old military airfields around Pensacola, Florida and Corpus Christi, Texas while attending naval flight training in 1961. After joining Delta Air Lines as a pilot in 1966, the interest continued as he flew over many of the WW II airfields throughout the United States. He was distressed by the lack of available information on the subject and America's neglect of its military heritage. Encouraged by the success of Action Stations, the British publications on history of WW II military airfields in Great Britain, he decided that similar books on the airfields in the U. S. were warranted.
Captain Dick Blizzard is a retired Delta Air Lines captain. He was a Naval Aviator prior to joining Delta in 1961. Dick has been boating with his family in the northwest for 15 years and and has cruised the West Coast of North America from Alaska to Mexico
Joann and Dick have been married for 43 years. She has risen to the rank of "Admiral" aboard Cumberland. She also performs well in the position of "deck hand".

What a wonderful job you do for all of us. I know that you hear this all
of the time but I assure you that at least this old "Deltoid" appreciates it.
I remember fondly when we flew to Narita together. Good trip and a
lifetime of memories.
I am still flying for NetJets (www.netjets.com) as are at least a few
dozen or so other retired Delta pilots. We are Teamsters (Local 284) with more than 1900 members and growing. With over 450 aircraft ranging from the BBJ to the Citation Ultra (http://www.netjets.com/Fleet/Aircraft_Details.asp) we are not a small operation.
I get occasional calls from our group asking about NetJets and "how to".
In fact I was in recurrent in December and a "new hire" walked up and reminded me that we used to fly DC-9s in New Orleans decades ago (time flies when you are having fun doesn't it).

Hello,
My name is Rand Peck, son of Margret and Red Peck. My dad flew at NEA/DAL and my mother has joined DP3. I have a website, but more importantly a Blogsite . It's airline photography that I take when I'm at work and I've added a fair amount of NEA pictures that I've either taken myself or was given. I've received many emails from NEA pilots who have found it and enjoyed it. Thanks, Rand Peck, NWA 757 captain.

The Hangar Models Company was founded on the idea to build competitively priced, museum quality desktop mahogany model airplanes.
All of our models are expertly hand carved from the finest grade of select kiln-dried Philippine mahogany wood and skillfully hand-painted by master craftsmen to produce an exact replica of the original airplane.
Each model airplane comes with a natural stained mahogany stand ready to display on your desk or mantle.
We can also accommodate customization such as logos or squadron patches that you can have carved into the stand of the model and or a brass plaque with your personal inscription.
No decals are ever used on any of our models and our artists pride themselves on delivering each model with superb quality and detail.
Our emphasis on custom aircraft models built to your exact specifications is what makes us the premier solid mahogany models company.
To further replicate the original aircrafts, our models are custom made to your specifications including livery/colors, markings, N numbers, insignias, weapons load and size. Most models are built to a standard size but any particular size can be accommodated.
The Hangar Models Company has been building beautifully handcrafted mahogany wooden model airplane replicas since 1998.

WFS, LLC provides global financial market research to professional and institutional investors. For nearly 30 years its founder and managing principal, Seth C. Warner, provided independent money management services and original research on financial markets from Warner Prince, Inc. through the weekly faxed "Momentummaster System" service.
In 1978 this service began covering all major global currency, equity, fixed income and commodity markets with buy/sell recommendations. Warner FInancial Select's monthly global markets e-publication "Before the New$" is the offspring of that work.
Seth Warner
Seth earned his BA degree at Hamilton College. He served as a 1st Lieutenant and Hawk anti-aircraft missile Battery Commander in the United States Marine Corps. He is married to a retired Delta flight attendant.
Before forming WFS, Seth had a wide range of positions and experience in finance. He served as a management trainee and trust representative with Connecticut Bank and Trust Company; account executive with Merrill Lynch; securities analyst, institutional salesman and general partner of the NYSE member firm Conning & Company; international financial markets analyst and founder of Warner Prince, Incorporated; and CTA and CPO with 111 Main Street Management, Ltd.
Driven by entrepreneurial, truth seeking spirit, Seth started one of America's first internationally invested funds (First Ticonderoga Partners) custodied in Zürich Switzerland and in the mid 1990s created and managed a multi-manager hedge fund (The Darwin Fund, Ltd) for one of Connecticut's most successful industrialists. Seth managed the currency and global bond futures positions and allocated funds to several oil and hard commodity asset managers.
Between 1974 and 2006 he was a fellow of the Financial Analysts Federation and a member of its progeny, the CFA Institute.
In 2003 Seth concluded that his interests lay more in original research than money management, and he folded the money management business. In 2004, however, at the request of past institutional clients he started Warner Financial Select to do more original financial market research and best put his abilities to work in the marketplace.
